Welcome to the website for KatDadde Inc. We are a cat and kitten rescue based in Birmingham, Alabama. Established in 2018, we have rescued and rehabilitated over 500 cats in sometimes dire situations, particularly focusing on severely ill or injured animals that other rescues often turn down due to prohibitive medical costs. We do TNR, colony feeds, street rescues, kill shelter interventions, and respond to calls from fellow supporters about a cat/cats in need.
Our rescue location is a home in a residential neighborhood where the cats free roam (named "Tom's Place" after a beloved rescue cat, Tom), and this is located in Pinson, AL. The cat colony we manage is in Homewood, AL, and we coordinate rescue/TNR efforts with their local animal control. We get calls from all over central Alabama for cats in need!

We take in cats in need of medical attention, regardless of the cost. If a cat has the will to live and treatment is feasible, we will responsibly take on the challenge of rehabilitating them with the hope of eventual adoption.

We feed over 40 feral cats in the Homewood area as well as look after the cats in these colonies. If one is sick or injured, we trap them to provide medical services. If they are feral, they will be released back to the colony once treated. We will also retire old colony cats to reside at the rescue building.

TNR stands for "trap, neuter, release". This is the only way to truly stop the life cycle of suffering for any feral cat community. We spay/neuter many many cats in our colonies.

Todd is the rescue founder and director. He started Katdadde Inc in 2018 with a mission to aid our over populated stray cat population, and it has blossomed since. Formerly in the marketing world, his love of animals has fueled his passion to help the voiceless. Todd has 5 adult children who live in Florida, and he'd like to think he has 70 cats (all at the rescue building!).

Kimberli is a HUGE help to us behind the scenes. She coordinates all adoptions, manages our intake information, and aids in the day to day care of our feline residents. Kimberli lives in Chelsea with her husband and 2 sons. She has 5 dogs, 8 cats, an abundance of fosters coming through her farm.

Mrym has breathed new life into our social media, and is our resident photographer! She is Todd's sounding board, helping with coordinating social media posts and fundraising efforts. She works in city council with animal welfare efforts. She is married with two cats!

Kim and her husband Bobby started volunteering in 2025 and quickly fell in love with Todd's mission and all the rescue cats! Kim coordinates volunteers and helps recruit new people to the team. She also helps with remodeling efforts to keep the rescue in tip-top shape! She and Bobby live in Hoover with their 2 torties and a bearded dragon.

Jenny started volunteering for us in early 2024, and she coordinates donations/fundraising events. She is always looking for new ways to spread the word about our mission. She lives in Birmingham with her husband, 2 sons and 3 rescue cats - Rhubarb, Fig and Fennel.

Brittany is our treasurer and also Todd's daughter. She works in the finance world, and is a huge help to us in this area! Brittany lives in Florida with her husband, 2 kids, cat and rabbit.
